Introducing the new 2024 Ducati Panigale V2…

Sporty and elegant soul.

The Panigale twin flaunts a simple design and clear-cut lines, with sophisticated electronics that make it equally high-performance and enjoyable on both road and track. The new Black on Black livery transmits power at first glance, as well as even more audacious style.

The twin-cylinder Panigale has a completely new look and refined electronics thanks to the use of the Inertial Platform, and is even better performing and safer on the track, not to mention fully exploitable and enjoyable on the road thanks to a more comfortable seat and revised suspension setup.

Its name lets the lovers of Borgo Panigale twin-cylinders know that the model is powered by the 955cc Superquadro.

Fun on the road, performance and safety on the track

The perfect fusion of power and elegance

The Panigale V2 Is a beefy yet compact bike of essential design with clear-cut lines that convey power without compromising classic Ducati superbike flair.

Sports essence

A simple design with clear-cut lines that convey power, without compromising classic Ducati superbike flair. The Panigale V2 features the single-sided aluminum swingarm, the hallmark of every high-end sports Ducati. The extensive fairing envelopes the refined monocoque frame, highlighting a more compact Superquadro twin-cylinder engine, smaller in comparison to the Desmosedici Stradale.

“Double layer” fairing

A main fairing extends upwards and merges into the tank with its muscular shoulders, while a secondary layer serves as an air vent. This ‘double layer’ solution revives the clean lines typical of Ducati sports bikes, famed for their full-fairing look. The fairing underside is visually connected to the under-engine silencer, which terminates in a single lateral pipe.

Panigale look

Dominating the front end are the two large air intakes, the upper parts of which incorporate the full LED headlight. The front vents merge with the air intake layout via ducts that reduce pressure loss, thus boosting intake efficiency. The headlight is reduced in size with the specific intention of giving the intakes themselves – especially with the bike at standstill – a more menacing air, like two enormous mouths.

Perfect Ducati style

The tail is built on a steel trellis subframe lined with plastic covers that runs from the vertical cylinder to the tailpiece, the winged design of which is inspired by a car spoiler. The tailpiece incorporates the full LED taillight, also wing-shaped. Although it has a one-piece assembly, the light has two distinct parts in line with Ducati sports bike tradition.

Compact, muscular lines for high-level performanceComplete with sophisticated electronics, designed to offer the rider complete riding freedom in total safety.

Black on Black livery

The new color scheme highlights the audacious character of the Panigale V2. The predominance of dark matte grey is broken up with glossy black elements, for a refined and attractive overall look. The livery is finished with the Panigale V2 logo and subtle red details on the tank, fairings and wheels. The Black on Black livery also brings a new-look seat featuring updated graphics and materials.

955 cc Superquadro

The Superquadro is as enjoyable on the road as it is effective and responsive on track, delivering 155 hp at 10,750 rpm and torque of 104 Nm at 9000 rpm. Together with the commemorative Panigale V2 Bayliss, the Panigale V2 is the only twin in the Ducati Panigale range, which also includes the V4, V4 S, V4 SP 2 and V4 R versions

Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa as standard

The Panigale V2 mounts Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tires as standard which, with their multi-compound technology, ensure maximum grip in all conditions, on both road and track.

Monocoque frame

The extensive fairing envelopes the refined monocoque frame and highlights the forms of the Superquadro twin. The ‘double layer’ fairing – which sees a main fairing extending upwards and embrace the tank and a secondary layer serving as an air vent – showcases the clean lines typical of Ducati sports bikes, elegant and unique

The Panigale V2 effortlessly fuses sportiness and elegance, instantly capturing attention with its powerful presence. Crafted by Ducati technicians through extensive research, this super sports bike from Borgo Panigale offers track riding enthusiasts an unparalleled experience, delivering remarkable performance and evoking a range of unique emotions.

The Panigale V2, characterized by compact and muscular lines, is equipped with sophisticated electronics, designed to let the rider exploit its performance in total safety. The new standard Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tires also confirm the true sports bike DNA.

For 2024, Ducati updates the color range of the Panigale V2 with a new Black on Black Livery, which accompanies the classic Ducati Red.

The new livery enhances the bold character of the Panigale V2. The predominance of dark matte grey is intercut with glossy black elements for a refined final combination. The livery is completed by the Panigale V2 logo and the red details on the tank, fairings and wheels. Another new feature introduced with the Black on Black Livery is the seat, with renewed graphics and materials.

The Panigale V2 stands as a compact yet muscular motorcycle that seamlessly combines a powerful presence with a streamlined design. Its essential aesthetics and unmistakable profiles effortlessly convey a sense of power, while still retaining the characteristic elegance found in Ducati sports bikes. The bike’s design showcases its Monocoque frame, with carefully crafted surfaces that accentuate the contours of the Superquadro twin-cylinder engine. At the front, the dominant features are the dual air intakes seamlessly integrated with the full-LED headlamp. Adding to the bike’s allure, the “double layer” fairing incorporates a primary fairing that gracefully extends to envelop the fuel tank, complemented by a secondary fairing serving as an air extractor. This design choice offers the typical essentiality of Ducati sports bikes, emphasizing elegance and uniqueness.

A sporty style that integrates fully with the power expressed by the Panigale V2 engine, the 955 cc Superquadro twin-cylinder. The Superquadro is as enjoyable to ride on the road as it is powerful and responsive on the track, with its 155 hp at 10,750 rpm and a torque value of 76.7 ft-lbs. (104 Nm) at 9,000 rpm.

Safety and total bike control are always guaranteed by the electronic equipment of the Panigale V2, based on the use of the 6-axis inertial platform. The electronic package includes ABS Cornering EVO, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO 2, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO, Ducati Quick Shift up/down (DQS) EVO 2 and finally Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO, which helps the rider to optimize the stability of their Ducati in extreme cornering conditions.

Together with the celebratory Panigale V2 Bayliss, the Panigale V2 is the only twin-cylinder in Ducati’s Panigale range.

Injectors and ductsThe Panigale V2 mounts two injectors per cylinder, one above and one below the throttle body, larger, and re-angled.Despite having the same flow rate, the intake ducts lose less pressure than their predecessors, improving intake efficiency.

Compact silencerThe silencer boasts an internal layout that is better able to abate spikes in noise, back pressure remaining equal.

90° V cylindersThe Panigale V2 engine acts as a stressed member of the frame. Set 90° apart, the cylinders are banked rearwards around the crankshaft axis, resulting in a 21° angle between front cylinder and horizontal plane. The two cylinder heads and aluminium top covers feature a ribbed design to reduce mechanical noise. The crankcases are vacuum diecast using Vacural® technology to optimize weight saving and ensure consistent wall thickness and increased strength. The crankcase cover, clutch cover and sump are all in die-cast aluminum.

TransmissionTransmission involves a six-speed gearbox with the Ducati Quick Shift up/down EVO system and a wet clutch. The latter comes complete with an anti-patter and progressive self-servo mechanism.

Monocoque frameAttached directly to the cylinder heads, the monocoque frame houses the steering head bearings, contained in two aluminum bushes. In addition to working as a frame, the monocoque also serves as an air-box. It contains not just the air filter but also the throttle bodies and the fuel circuit, complete with injectors, and is sealed off by the aluminum fuel tank bottom.

Front-end geometryThe front-end geometry has 24° of rake and 94 mm of trail, while the double-sided swingarm has been replaced with a sophisticated, fully die-cast aluminum single-sided swingarm. The wheelbase is 1436 mm and the weight distribution is 52% at the front and 48% at the rear.

SuspensionThe Panigale V2 features the 43 mm Showa BPF fork at the front, fully adjustable in its spring pre-load, compression and rebound damping. The Showa Big Piston Fork (BPF) considerably improves damping control at low speed, ensuring lower-pressure oil feed and reducing the amount of fluid needed for compression and rebound adjustment.

Wheels and tiresThe Panigale V2 has a 5-spoke, 3.5 inch wheel at the front and 5.5 inch wheel at the rear, both rolling on Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tires, specifically 120/70 ZR17 at the front and 180/60 ZR17 at the rear.Pirelli’s first multi-compound bike tyre, the Diablo Rosso IV Corsa combines racetrack performance with road versatility, making it ideal for the Panigale V2.

4.3” TFT displayInstrumentation on the Panigale V2 features a 4.3″ TFT display. The graphics and interface facilitate menu browsing and setting adjustment while allowing more immediate identification of the selected Riding Mode. The Riding Mode interface clearly and immediately shows any changes being made to the settings. This is done thanks to the explanatory graphics of the system being adjusted and a graduated scale indicating whether the modification is better suited to performance or vehicle safety/stability.

Electronic controlsThe comprehensive and modern electronic equipment, based on the 6-axis inertial platform, leaves no doubt that the Panigale V2 possesses the DNA of a high-end sports bike. The new electronics package raises active safety and dynamic control standards thanks to the ABS cornering function and quick shift up/down, in addition to traction control, engine brake control and wheelie control. All controls are integrated into the three Riding Modes (Race, Sport and Street) and can be adjusted via the 4.3″ color TFT dashboard. Featuring a user-friendly graphic interface inspired by that of the Panigale V4, menu navigation, settings adjustment and identification of the selected Riding Mode couldn’t be easier.

Lights and indicatorsThe front headlight assembly is extremely compact thanks to the adoption of two small LED low beam / high beam modules. The Daytime Running Light and the upper rim of the dual headlight assembly create a ‘browed’ look, the modern hallmark of Ducati sports bikes. At the rear, the full LED taillight features a two-part design as per Ducati sports tradition. The dual red arch of the side light makes the Panigale V2 both unmistakable and assertive. Front and rear LED indicators complete the lighting system.

ElectronicsABS Bosch Cornering EVOThe ABS system on the Panigale V2 features the cornering function (which keeps the ABS working even with the bike leaned over) and has the same intervention logic and control as on the V4.

Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVOThe Panigale V2 is also equipped with the latest version of Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO. Using the data feed from the 6D IMU, this system keeps wheelies in check while maximizing acceleration easily and safely.

Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO 2The new Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO 2 strategy is an offshoot of the Ducati Desmosedici GP18.

Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVOThe EBC (Engine Brake Control) system was developed to help riders optimize bike stability under extreme turn-in conditions; it does so by balancing the forces applied to the rear tyre under severe engine-braking conditions.

Riding ModeRiding Modes provide users with three different pre-set riding styles so that Panigale V2 performance can be adapted to rider, track/route and weather conditions.

Ducati Data Analyser + GPS (DDA+ GPS)The Ducati Data Analyser + GPS (DDA + GPS), allows assessment of bike and rider performance by showing traces for specific data items.

Ducati Lap Timer GPS (DLT GPS)The DLT GPS feature automatically records and saves lap times and displays them directly on the dashboard each time the bike crosses the finish line, the coordinates of which are set by pressing the flasher button.

Ducati Multimedia System (DMS)The Panigale V2 can be used with the Ducati Multimedia System (DMS). This lets riders take incoming calls, select and listen to music or receive text messages via Bluetooth.
